Confirmation from structural, functional, and behavioral studies agree suggest a configuration of atypical lateralization in individuals with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). It is suggested that patterns cortical atypicality are evident ASDs being common ASDs. The paper endeavors to better understand the relationship between alterations typical asymmetries functional ASD evolutionary terms. We have proposed both early genetic and/or environmental influences can alter developmental process lateralization. There invariably “chicken or egg” issue arises whether anatomy associated abnormal function, alternatively generates structure.
